Never one to shy away from controversy, famed shoe designed Christian Louboutin opened a museum retrospective of his 20 years in the shoe size game in London. He took time out to share some thoughts with reporters on topics ranging from from his trademark infringement lawsuit to the inspirations for his legendary shoe design career. For those with short term memory spans, or with better things to do with their spare time, Christian Louboutin effectively sued to protect his exclusive use of the color red for certain shoe lines! The courts are yet to issue a final ruling.

On a more interesting note, Louboutin shared his insights on his famously, and uncomfortably, five inch high heels. Louboutin explained that shoes are an item of beauty and not necessarily designed solely for comfort. If you cant take the pain, he does not recommend foot surgery thatt some desperate customers undergo to tolerate his creations.

On a lighter note, Christian Louboutin held out Kate Moss to be his English style icon. When asked for an example of an interesting and challenging customer - none other than Queen Elizabeth II. Personally I am not sure she would enjoy them too much....
